Music has played a huge part in my evolution from the time I was a lonely, mixed up teenager, feeling like I never quite fit in all the way through today and I’m sure, into my tomorrow’s as well.
My first mentors were musicians, poets and artists, whose music and lyrics combined with their courage to follow their passion, lifted me up from trying to fit in to knowing that I am meant to stand out and stand up.
Stand out as the unique, loving, creative and perfectly imperfect human that I am.
Stand up for what matters to me, stand up for those who can’t (yet) stand up for themselves and stand up for more compassion, understanding and love in our world.
This is the first in a series of songs I’ll be sharing (and I ask you to share them too). They are songs that have encouraged me and it is my intention that they encourage and inspire you as well.
